Position: Business Analyst
Location: Stamford, CT
Duration: 11+ Months
SPECIFIC PROJECT RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES
•Partner with business sponsors to analyze and determine scope and requirements for new projects and enhancements.
•Work with business leads on growth opportunities through feasibility research.
•Determine validity of business request and perform cost-benefit analysis.
•Steer requirement discussions based on existing system, product, and process knowledge while aligning with corporate initiatives.
•Elicit, document, and manage business requirements through conceptual discussions and socialized artifacts.
•Identify and recommend alternative methods and technologies to meet business needs.
•Perform system impact analysis for high complexity, cross-system project initiatives involving disparate teams.
•Translate conceptual artifacts into system design specifications for technology teams.
•Work with business users to improve existing applications/processes through periodic maintenance enhancements.
•Plan, design and conduct evaluations of large-scale applications across multiple platforms, for business and IT teams.

•Ability to identify realistic, relevant solutions to business needs; demonstrates practicality and reasonableness in arriving at viable solution alternatives.

•Ability to influence a diverse group of team members and subject matter experts. About You
•Bachelor's Degree is required.
•Five plus (5+) years of related experience in business analysis with at least two (2) years leading initiatives.
•Superior verbal and written communication skills.
•Understanding of multiple development methodologies and the BA role including Waterfall, Agile and Iterative.
•Strong self-management skills, including the ability to manage time and workload against priorities and objectives.
•Sensitivity to diversity and ability to understand team skills and their contribution – and adopt appropriate leadership style.
