Job Title Description:
Duties: To provide Supply Chain support in the form of data analysis, systems data entry (Item Master and Bills of Materials) and set up of supply planning tools and processes for new product families secured via acquisition. Buyer (Merial) must transfer to its own systems the complete MRP and replenishment processes for all components used in the manufacturing processes at one (1) bright stock factory, and Finished Goods demand planning at five (5) final packaging operations sites located in all four regions of the globe. Provide ORACLE system setups and data anaylsis to complete on a rush basis transfer of Supply Chain processes in a toll manufacturing environment.
Major Responsibilities:
• Analysis of current raw material and packaging component inventories located at multiple sites, and evaluate options for quick transfer of replenishment processes to Merial within first 30 days. Must be up and operational by Feb 2nd. Refinement of processes to occur over the subsequent 60 days.
• Analysis and collection of all Item Master and Bills of Material information from acquisition sites and do data entry and transfer into Oracle ERP processes at Merial.
• Set up inventory reconciliation and control methods to be used on a monthly basis.
• Support overall data collection of all phases of the supply chain, and analyze and organize data such that all processes can be transferred quickly, accurately, and efficiently to Merial.
• Build temporary data collection, control, and tracking tools in Excel to build a bridge between the current SAP processes at acquired sites to the new processes to be designed, defined, and implemented in ORACLE at Merial.
• Set up of Item Master records, Bills of Materials, and perform day to day production order creation and related transactions.
Skills: Knowledge and Skills:
• Excel super user in the area of data analysis, with targeted analysis experience in a manufacturing setting
• Highly analytical and very strong attention to detail
• Significant Supply Chain experience in manufacturing operations.
• Extensive hands on knowledge in the working process of ERP systems (Oracle is ideal, although other ERP's is acceptable). Experience in the manufacturing modules is key.
• Experience setting up Bills of Material, Item Master / Product Masters in ERP systems
• MRP and production planning experience and able to do accurate and efficient operational data entry
