Job Title : Project Manager
Job Type : Contract ( 5 Months + )
Location : Swiftwater, PA
Note : ***This request is approved for 40 hours for budgetary purposes, but realistically will be 15-20 hours.***
Key Skills:
*Candidate MUST have extensive experience in managing strategic projects, specifically experience with large scale resource hiring planning (either perm employees or contingent workers).
*Candidate must have technical experience, such as high level Pharmaceutical project consultant, Director, VP.
*This is for a large scale ramp up and this contractor will be responsible for orchastrating all resources in a highly technical division to include; Validation Techs, Engineers, Lab Analysts and Techs, Tech Writers, Doc Coordinators, Scientists, etc.
Duties
Follow PMO project management methodology.
Develop the project scope statements for each project.
Manage the day-to-day activities of the projects.
Maintain and update the project plans. Manage each projects scope.
Report project status on a weekly basis and communicate status to the key project participants and interested parties.
Escalate unresolved issues and communicate decisions.
Track the project budgets against the actual costs and forecast costs to completion.
Develop a project risk plan for both projects and manage the project risks according to the plans. Project Scope Statements Updated Project Plans Weekly Status Reports Updated Project Budget Tracking Updated Project Risk Plans Others, as required.
Experience: 6 to 9 years.
Phase 1 (October-December 2014)
1) Develop and plan for cost efficient staffing of MTech and related support areas
2) Structure program for efficient utilization of contractors
3) Support development of a program that compliments site wide strategic goals to optimize coordination of all projects for maximum results
4) Conduct focus groups to get feedback from key constituents of the MTech project delivery strategy
5) Collaborate on an educational presentation for management to understand and support the revised project approach
6) Develop and facilitate a workshop on the revised project delivery strategy
-Identify contractor resources required
- Revise the project schedule for optimum effectiveness and efficiency
7) Identify vendors and individual contractors to meet our supplemental workforce need
Phase 2 (January- March 2015)
Manage the recruitment of identified contractor resources
Ensure a smooth process of on-boarding is in place
Establish metrics for monitoring contractor utilization and performance
Key technical competencies and soft skills:
Communication; Business Analysis; Scheduling; Planning; Demand/Capacity Planning; external contracting/sourcing;; Headcount Management; project leadership and management.
Education:
Bachelor's required at a minimum, in a major relevant to the role.
