Job Title: Calibration Tech
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Allston, MA
Duties:
Performs operations necessary for calibration of equipment that may include testing, adjusting, and maintaining measuring and indicating instruments to conform to set standards.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Performs highly supervised, routine calibrations of laboratory and/or production equipment, following SOP and in accordance with GMP. Provides assistance to more senior technicians on daily tasks. Accurately follows oral and written procedures in calibrating basic measurement equipment, and performing testing procedures.
Recognizes deviations from the normal results. Requires some of the requisite skills to perform the required tasks of the position at this level. Receives detailed instructions on all work.
Work is closely monitored and generally reviewed by supervisor. Some site to site travel may be required..
Skills :

Calibrates instrumentation and performs more complex measurement uncertainty analysis. Determines methods and procedures on new instrumentation and provides recommendations for implementation.
Reviews documentation submitted by calibration technicians to ensure that accurate, concise documentation is submitted and meets all of the requirements of cGMP's and internal SOP's.
Assists supervisor with interviews and training. Directly provides guidance to other technicians to ensure compliance with cGMP's and (SOP's).
Prepares technical reports with recommendations for solutions to technical problems.
May assist Validation with data acquisition and technical advice.
Applies advanced concepts while performing the most complex tasks of the position. Generally receives minimal instructions on all assignments with minimal supervision.
Work is typically not reviewed upon completion. May provide work direction to lower-level staff
1-3 years of calibration experience is required.
