Job Title : Corporate FP&A - Financial Analyst
Job Type : Contract ( 15 Months + )
Location : Lake Forest, IL

The Corporate FP&A senior financial analyst will lead and support Corporate FP&A activities including planning, forecasting, and reporting and analysis for the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.

This position will work with the Corporate FP&A team and the business finance teams (Commercial, Operations, R&D, Corp.) to understand business performance and the key issues affecting performance.

Additionally, this role will work with the teams to identify ways to improve Company?s overall reporting, planning, and analysis capabilities through the use of EPM tools (Essbase, Hyperion Planning, HFM).

Key Responsibilities Lead and support Company?s monthly consolidated management reporting process.

Key stakeholders include: Board of Directors, CEO/CFO, Senior Leadership Team, and the Finance Leadership Team.

Lead and support quarterly reporting information to support Investor Relations and the analytics / performance management information needed to provide insights on guidance.

Lead and support planning, forecasting, and reporting activities related to the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.

Overall focus is to understand performance in financial and operational areas and key issues. Work with Corporate and Organizational leads to improve the reporting, planning, and analytics capabilities at Company EPM development and continuous improvement Evaluate overall reporting, planning, and analytical processes and use of EPM systems (Hyperion Planning, Steelwedge, etc.) and compare to best practices / EPM vision Work with the EPM team, business process owners, and other key stakeholders to develop and execute plans to develop and/or continuously improve planning processes and the supporting EPM systems.


Financial analysis and related projects Work with the Manager and Director of Corporate FP&A on analysis of key issues as they arise (financial performance, sales & margin, operating expenses, cash flow variance analysis) Participate and/or lead key

Company initiatives (special projects) Education: BS in Accounting or Finance CPA or MBA Preferred Background: 5 to 8 years overall relevant business experience across a wide and diverse base is essential including: Management reporting for a global company (Fortune 500 preferred) Financial consolidation, reporting and analysis Use of EPM systems (preferably Hyperion & Workforce Planning) Experienced with business process improvement and continuous improvement approaches (Lean, Six Sigma) Budgeting, planning, and forecasting experience General accounting / auditing experience Strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills along with effective written / verbal communication skills, good teamwork and participative style Ability to relate to, and work cohesively with, a variety of individuals and groups across cross-functional areas and organizational levels.

Manage multiple projects to meet tight deadlines and work independently

OPERATIONS FINANCE ORGANIZATION This position will be responsible for the financial analysis of the Manufacturing Operations primarily focusing on the Quality Assurance organizations.

This position will require an individual to possess excellent analytical skills, both written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.

In addition to the Corporate Quality Assurance organization, this position will support Quality analysis across the Manufacturing plants as well as R&D and commercial regions. Financial support includes providing commentary for monthly reporting, consolidating global quality cost, planning, forecasting and analysis.

The ability to effectively interface with both finance and non-finance personnel among different organizations is very important

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

This position requires an accounting or finance degree.

The position requires 3-5 years experience in general accounting or financial planning and analysis.

A CPA, CMA or MBA would be preferred as well as manufacturing finance or F.P.& A. experience.

Key applications are SAP and Hyperion (HFM); prophecies in these or very similar systems is important. Strong Excel skills are important. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and tracking of Corporate Quality departmental budgets; providing operational financial support to Corp S. V.P. Quality and staff.
• Analysis of global operating quality costs and identification of cost drivers to support management investment decisions.
• Consolidating, analyzing and maintain reporting of the following: o Global Cost of Quality o Global Compliance Remediation o Support management in understanding the financial drivers, implications and opportunities related to the above items cost
• Provide financial support on Quality projects such as new compliance remediation systems
• Operations finance is a team oriented organization and other areas of budgeting,
forecast
