Job Title : Senior Financial/Budget Analyst
Job Type : Contract ( 6 Months + )
Location : Port of Seattle , WA
Duties:
This is a senior level position providing professional financial/budget services to the Aviation, Seaport, and/or Corporate Finance & Budget departments. Financial/budget services to be provided may include: financial performance reporting, managing the budget development process, long-term financial forecasts, complex financial analyses, assembling financial and operating information in compliance with securities regulations, reviewing budget reports and documents related to bond offerings, creating and maintaining spreadsheets and financial forecasting
models.
Skills : Experience performing complex financial/budget analysis, reviewing and analyzing business performance, developing reports and exhibits to communicate financial information, developing financial models for investment analysis using NPV and IRR concepts, developing and analyzing division, corporate and capital budgets, operating budgets, and business plans, developing and maintaining long term forecasts. Must have strong business sense and must be able to translate business concepts or operational issues into alternative financial strategies and analyses. Able to accomplish these tasks with minimal supervision. Highly proficient and demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint. Prior experience with accounting/budgeting systems such as Oracle/PeopleSoft.
Education and Work Requirements : Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and five (5) years of finance or accounting experience for a medium to large organization.
Preferred Education and Work Requirements:
Master of Business Administration (MBA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and seven (7) or more years of applicable progressive experience performing finance, budget, and accounting. Prior experience working in airport/port or transportation sector and with local government finance or accounting .Specialized knowledge and experience working with grants, Passenger Facility Charges (PFC), is a plus. Experience with Oracle/PeopleSoft Financial software
